Plasma 5.4 comes with the Application Dashboard instead of Kicker (the K-menu), and it makes life so much better. It's a bit like Unity's launcher.

I run ubuntu. Thought I could upgrade from 14.04, but that broke my system completely, so I had to reinsall

that is where the challenge lies. A lot of these around the world grew from the local lug meetup into something bigger
